Its that time of year again that we a start new with  the blog. I have not blogged in so long it almost hurts. So here goes. We got our fun family pictures taken again by Amber Gillete. She is awesome and we love that she takes the time to make it fun. We are still living in the same place. Brian just turned 5 yesterday. He is majorly into legos and thus he got lego sets for his birthday. Megan is busy on the swim team, student council, raising a pig on ffa, learning to drive, and just going to school.  Ashley is not on the vista dance company any longer but decided to spread her wings by taking dance at southwest dance. She is so good they decided to place her in the older class starting today. She is a little nervous. Madison has also started dance there and has so far loved it. Dance has been good for her self esteem. She is reading much better this year. Alexis turned 8 and was baptized. She has been taking drum at school and we are now on the look out for something else for her to do. Brian has been busy building legos, going to work with Dad, Playing with Koen and going to Preschool with miss Robyn. Melanie is just Melanie, She is having a hard time giving up being carried everywhere. She started primary yesterday and the Bang household now will never have a nursery age child. Kerry has picked up so much work and is busier then ever. I am now taking the time to do what I have wanted to for awhile now. Scrapbooking, excercising , blogging, making soap, relief society and last but not least just being a Mother.

Lexi started Baseball yesterday. You would have thought it was Christmas. She was so excited. For her Birthday last year she got baseball gear. Glove, shoes, batting helmet, all in pink. When we went to drop her off at the practice we found out that she is the only girl on the team. Ha ha I am sure the coach was worried about having a girl (especially one in all pink) on his team. She will quickly prove him wrong. She  is an awesome player. With a love for the game. Kerry went in the backyard before practice to throw the ball with her. She throws hard and fast. She will make a great player on there team.

This is a picture I found on Facebook today. The caption read. Megan My sister fixed Melanies hair today. My Mom is going to kill her!
Ha Ha that made me just laugh. Melanie is such a cutie and goes along with whatever the kids do to her.

Had a fun day watching the annulaur solor eclipse. Kerry made 6 chocolate pies and invited my family over for my birthday. We had seven  solar glasses for us to watch. So we ate delicious pie and sat on the stairs in our family room while watching the sun slowly get covered by the moon. Ryan and his family joined us and so did my Mom and Dad. It was actually really fun. Tyson and Lori went to kannaraville to watch it but I am sure we got as good of a show here. We did get pictures but I have to figure out how to put them on from the laptop I am using.

One more potty post

So I just have to write this one down even though it is 12:45 at night. I just went in to check on Melanie before I laid down and Melanie was butt naked in her bed. This is an everyday occurence for her. I have tried putting pants on, putting her diaper on backwards but it does not work. I was able to catch her before she wet her bed tonight but usually she ends up waking herself up when she pees her bed. I have the hardest time not laughing about it. She is the most ambunctious child I have ever had. She has already climbed out of her bed and you can find her on the Kitchen counter almost hourly. She also has figured out how to open the back gate on our back porch. I have had to replace my makeup because she scoots the chair over to my counter and climbs into my makeup drawer and does her own makeup. Her little cousin Ava can say her name but Melanie could care less about talking, I mean who needs to when you can get yourself whatever you want and not have to hassle with the confusion of talking.

5 down 1 to go. potty training with technology

So Brian is a big boy now. He was peeing in the toilet all the time unless we put a diaper or pull up on him. Now pooping was a whole other story. He would either just go in his pants or wait till we put a diaper on him. We had bribed him a few times with lego mans (lego figures) but that was begining to get expensive and we could only get him to go in the toilet like once a week. So Kerry got a phone that has an lego game app and Brian would get to play a game if he went in the toilet. Brian loved it. He was going just a little bit then played a game and then immediatly ran in to the bathroom to go a little bit more. This got to the point that he would be going to the bathroom about 10 times a day just so he could play the ego game on Dads phone. We made him show us before he could flush. I thought it would never end! But alas it did. He now goes the normal 1-2 times a day and rarely asks if he can play. The funny thing is we went to lunch for my birthday and he had to go while we were there at the restaraunt. He got mad at me because I flushed it before Dad could see it . I made sure to tell Kerry that he pooped so that he could play the lego game while we finished eating. So we are proud to say this wonderful son of ours is fully potty trained. Even through the night. I also can say he only peed on the floor once (that I know of) He peed off of the top of the stairs to our family room. He thought it was so funny. I quickly had to teach him that it was not ok to pee anywhere but the toilet. So we now call Kerrys phone the latest Potty training technology. You should try it. It works so good.

I decided I better get back on here. Facebook is just not the same. I cannot journal there like I can here. So what has been going on. Oh my so much. Were do I even start? Kerrys work is starting to finally pick back up. slowly but surely. He is hoping to start on a job in L.A. in the next couple months. I have been getting physically and mentally back in shape. I figured out my harmones were very screwed up , so I am getting it all balanced. I am doing zumba and going to the gym. I love it and am starting to see some results. Megan has  a pump which has made life so much better for her. She is getting to were she is controlling her diabetes so much better now. She is also getting ready to go to Washington D.C. for her 8th grade school trip. She did fundraisers and babysat all year to get ready to go. It is a once in a lifetime opportnity.I am scared to death to let her go.
Ashley has been in dance company for the school all year and has had lots of performances. She is getting to be so good. She is a natural dancer. You should see her she is beautiful. She has been on the High honor roll all year. She is getting ready to start Young Womens at the end of the summer, and she gets to go to Girls camp.
Madison is growing so fast. She got baptised in March with her cousin Kennis. It was a fun spiritual day. We had so many people there, and had a big dinner at our house for everyone afterward. She is now in achievment days and has loved learning to babysit. She loves the few times I have had to run to the school for a minute were she gets to babysit. She is proud of her red hair and the fact that she looks just like her Mom.
Alexis just graduated from Kindergarten. She was in the same class as her 2 cousins Mason and Gaige. It was so fun to see them all together. They all did so good that there teacher put them in the same 1st grade class together. She is a good little reader and is constantly asking to get on her reading website for the school.
Brian is finally potty trained. He has been the sweetest little boy ever. One of the sweet stories I remember is a couple of weeks ago . He was crying for something and I was trying to distract him so I said " Brian guess what next week is? Its my Birthday. What are you getting me for my birthday." He says " a lego man and a lego car" I said "what about a book" he says " books are to spensive, I will give you two lego mans and a car and a plane."  I was telling this story at the dinner table and  he said the same thing. Next thing I know he comes into the kitchen with his favorite blanket wrapped over a book. He hands me this childrens book off of his book shelf and says "Happy birthday Mom."  I really do love that boy. He was able to go camping with his Dad last week for Fathers and sons. You would have thought he won the lottery with how happy he was. He was freezing all night but he loved and cherised every second of his time with Dad.
Melanie is getting so big. She is starting to skip her naps which I am not very excited about. She started nursery last month. She does so well there and has never cried yet. Her best friend ever is Ava our little cousin who is 3 weeks younger then her. They are starting to figure out that they have a best friend next door and all they have to do is drag there Mom or Dad next door and they can play. She is always so excited to see her.She loves her family and loves her bottles.

Funny things they say.

Brian all day keeps saying "happy valentines day".

One of our family traditions that we often do, When we are waiting for everyone to come for prayers, all those that are in the room agree to say "AMEN" when someone walks in. Pretending like we just finshed saying the prayers and they missed it. Tonight Kerry and Brian were the last ones to walk in . So we proceded to say in unison "AMEN". Brian started to cry . I thought man he must be really tired until he said. "AHHH I wanted to say it." We all thought it was so funny so Kerry helped him say the prayer. While Kerry was saying the prayer he started to bless the Family with "please bless Mom and Dad" and Brian says "and Me". Kerry went on "and Megan and Ashley" Brian says "and Me" and so on. I really do not remember much more of the prayer because I was holding my giggles in.

Another funny story. We came home from being in town and Brian had fallen asleep on the way home. I tried to lay him down but he wanted his binki. He realized that he had left it at work with Kerry. I let him try calling Kerry but it went straight to voice mail. He handed me the phone and told me to charge it. I asked him "What" and he pointed to the side of the bed where my charger is and said "Charge it" Obviously my phone was not working because Dad did not answer it so I needed to CHARGE IT.

Family Pictures.

We finally did it. We got family pictures. I love our dear friend Amber. Thank you so much for taking our pictures. They turned out amazing. I will post more later but here is one that Kerry picks as one of his top favorites.

The Man

We love this little guy Brian. He has won us all over in this house full of girls. He thinks he is Bob the Builder and if you call out for Bob he says what. He wears overalls everywhere. When it is time for Bed he will not change out of his "Bob the builders"(overalls). You ask him what he wants to be for Halloween and he we quickly respond "bob the builder" Last week before Church I was trying to put on his Church clothes and He cried for 20 minutes while I wriggled his church pants on him. I finally had to let him carry his "bob the builders" to church. When it came time to take him to nursery he dragged along his trusty overalls that were dirtier then ever. When I got out of Young Womens he was standing out in the hall waiting for me with his overalls on over his sunday clothes. It was the funniest thing ever. I have finally convinced him to take them off to take showers. He reverently lays them on his bed and quickly gets in the shower.I am very sneaky at this point and think that I can get them into the washer before he notices. Unfortunaly he notices the minute he gets out of the shower and will (not) patiently wait by the washer for them. Until this Morning.
I really needed to go to the store and did not want to drag his sweet little stubborn self with me. So trying to be discreet, I asked Kerry if he would take "the man" to work with him. We were all eating breakfast in the kitchen and little Brian looks up and asks tentavily "Mom, I'm the Man?" I quickly replied to him "No Brian you are Bob the Builder"
He replies with a little more confidence. "No Mom I am the Man"
He then looks around and sees his hard hat sitting on the counter in front of him, and says "this a Man Hat"
We were all giggling after that . Except him. He is smiling when Megan asks Him "Brian what are you going to be for Halloween"
without even blinking he says "a man"
Megan being as brilliant as ever rushes him back to his room and shows him all the man shorts in his closet which he in turn gets way excited and brings them to me to show me all the MAN PANTS he has. He actually wore normal shorts to work with his Dad today.
I really thought we had finally turned over a new leaf today . That was until he came in while I was putting Melanie down for a nap with his dirty overalls on begging me to put on his Bob the builders. Oh well at least it lasted for 1 morning.

Reunion 2

For our second day of the reunion we went downtown to the parade. Our built a float with the theme "built upon the "ROCK" and we had  a couple of the young men and women in  our ward bring there band on the float while the kids walked alongside. The kids dressed up like rock stars. It  was a really cute idea.
Megan had already signed up to do a booth at the park. She sold her hair bows and our neighbors necklaces. She loves the thrill of making a few extra dollars. She is such a smart little buisness woman.Allie helped her out at the booth. They have become great friends.

The kids went down the slip and slides and tried out the free fishing booths, and Home Depot set up under the Big gazebo with all there little wood projects. Kerry is such a trooper, he always puts up with me running around being crazy. I was so happy to have the reunion over with that night. I don't have to do it again for 8 years. I guess that is one of the perks of having a big family. I really do love my family and having them all around me. But I am starting to appreciate quiet time a little to much.

Borrowman Family Reunion.

I was in charge of  the Borrowman family reunion this year. I figured everyone was low on money this year so we camped it out at our house. We had so much fun. We went and visited the local water park, went to the Pioneer day parade, and just hung out with lots of good company and good food. This was us at the water park. Megan and Allie were into modeling with the cute glasses they had on. There are plenty of pictures of them modeling for us. Look how cute Megans new swimsuit is on her. She is so beautiful.
It was so much fun seeing all the family together. Brian loved hanging out on my lap. Believe it or not it was sort of a cool evening.
Sweet little Lexi, I do not think I saw her more then this one picture most of the evening. She was so busy hanging with her cousins.
All the girls together again but without the face masks on. What a cute bunch

Dad was the photographer all night but we did get a few pictures of him. Kerry was at home making wonderful tres leche cake and cobbler for us to have when we got home. He also let Melanie take a nap.Maddie,Kennis, Emma And Hallie(not pictured) love hanging out together.

Sisters Girls night

We had a rare occasion happen. All of the sisters were in town. So we planned a sisters night. We went to cafe rio for dinner. It was so yummy. Who can resist a good Cafe Rio salad. After that we went to Moms house and did facials and played games. We regretted taking pictures before the facials .

I was not to keen on the idea of the facials and as you can see I went along with it happily.

Bree drove from Ohio, Jessica flew in from Indianapolis, and Stacie drove from California. Earlier that day we had a shower for Mckensi and little Olivia.

4th of July

I have to admit I stole these Pictures from Kensi's blog. Thanks Kensi.
Our awesome aunt Kensi and Ashley.
For the 4th we started the day out with a Breakfast at our house . We had Grandma and Grandpa Borrowman , Kensi and Josh Meecham, and Tyson and Lori. We had wonderful caramel rolls, quiche, and waffles. It has become a fun tradition to have whoever is next door i.e. the Borrowmans and Grandparents, over for breakfast. We then went swimming at Aunt Terias. We always have so much fun. We then met at the park for our annual fireworks. Kensi made caramel popcorn and Kerry helped the kids do sparklers. Melanie loved the fireworks and could not stop smiling and jumping through it all.

Grandma and Grandpa. Saving us a seat.

Add caption

Madison, is she  just the cutest

we had so many sparklers we actually came home with some.

Kerry was such a sport he just kept lighting them till the kids got tired of them.

Our spirited Megan and Emma.

Ashleys 11

Tuacahns Little Mermaid. What more could I say. Awesome! Ashley wanted one thing for her birthday. TICKETS. I was able to get $10 tickets for the girls and I. It was so amazing. The show was sold out and the weather was perfect.
Kerry stayed home with Melanie and Brian so I could take the girls to Little Mermaid. We were able to sit right in the center and they were great seats.

The costumes were so neat. I really do not know how they could have done it better. They girls did awesome although Lexi got very tired in the end. We had to go the day before Ashleys real birthday but we surprised her. We were sitting down to dinner when Kerry pulled out the tickets and handed them to her. We told her we were going that night. She was a little dissapointed that the rest of the girls were going with us but she quickly got over it. I cannot believe Ashley is 11. She is growing up so fast. She is the best helper around the house.  We love you Ashley. Happy Birthday!

we snagged a picture with Arial and Prince Eric.

This is one of the eels. You cannot see but he has green rope lighting, lining his costume. Lexi posing with him.

Sleepovers

Along with cousins coming to town we always have to have sleep overs. On this night Lexi slept over with Emma and Annie and Mason. We had Hallie sleep over with Maddie. We took them to get Ice Cream at the new Ice Box in town. Then they stayed up till midnight watching a movie. Brian slept with them in the Den. They had so much fun. Megan also stayed up watching the movie. We love cousins.

Water day.

Madison, Hallie, Emma, Annie
Bree is in town for the next month or two. What does that mean. Party time. We seem to do stuff at least 2 times a week. This day Lori got out all the water stuff and the kids went out and played . Melanie even got in on the action. She just crawled right into the slip and slide.

The kids always need treats when we get together. We pulled out popsycles today but it is usually fresh fruit. This is especially Brians favorite part. After this picture he went in and took a 2 hour nap. We always have so much fun with the cousins. And it helps that they are here for so long. If they were only here for a few days we would never get any fun like this in.

Jessica is also here for the next two weeks. She is such a partier too. We have loved getting to know little Luke. He is getting so big. Melanie hates the grass so much and as you can see in the picture she tries her hardest to get every part of her off of the grass.

Lexi and Mason love hanging out on the old swingset that has seen better days. I think they like it more now then when it was actually up and functioning. Meg and Ashley are my little Divas and would not be caught dead outside without some of there friends too. But I really wanted to have some pictures of them so I snapped a couple before I headed out to the sun.

Brian and his new bed.

Brian is a busy boy. You rarely find him asleep anywhere but his bed. This was a rare sight that I found the other day. He was half on my bed and half off, fast asleep.
Yes Brian was still in his crib. Our neighbor gave us a toddler bed and we finally got it set up for him. He loved it and the first night he never got out once. But half way through the night he wanted back in his crib. I have never had a child that wanted to be in their crib. This child has been the best sleeper. He will go straight to bed if you give him his binky and blanket. We need to move Melanie into a crib but Brian does not look like he will be giving the crib up any time soon.

Melanie is getting around

Melanie is a little go getter. She has been crawling for the last couple of months. She can now go up the stairs in the family room. I also find the little mover in the dishwasher on the excercise machine, and on Brians little toddler bed. I found her on his bed yesterday, butt naked. She had somehow slipped out of her little diaper and climbed right up on his bed. She is such a fun little baby. She now has 2 teeth and she suffered dearly for those two little teeth. Her siblings just adore her. Brian loves her and is constantly found playing with her. She loves to grab his binky and suck on it for a few minutes. He thinks it is great!
