Gingerbread houses 2009

It is a big Bang family tradition to make Gingerbread houses every year. Some years they are way elaborate and some years they are small and simple. This year I think it is somewhere inbetween.

Here is miss Lexi posing for the camera as everyone else does the work

Sweet Ashley takes her break too.

And of course Maddie cannot miss out on the Action

Here is a small portion of the Halloween candy we have collected throughout the year. Most of it comes from trick or treating

Here is Dad making the big house for everyone to plaster the candy too. What a fun tradition we have. All thanks to Dad making them the first Christmas we were married.
We will publish finished products tomorrow.

Day 3 cruising the big sea

Here we are doing what we did best on the boat eating. Dont they look so excited. Lexi was our entertainment at dinner. She was always saying something funny.

Ashley toughing it out. She went down the water slide all day.

Brian Minature golfing. He played golf from his stroller

Kerry took Madison and Lexi golfing and they finally got the jist of it at the end.

Woops I did this picture twice. Isnt he cute.

We had alot of fun just hanging out on the Boat. Here is Megan pouting because I would not loan her $5 more dollars to buy a watch and necklace set off of the boat.

Isnt this just the most beautiful view. I loved to just watch the sea. We didnt see any sea creatures but there is something about the sound of the ocean.

Brian started walking the day we got home. I think it was because he walked around with sea legs on the boat for so long that the land was actually easy to walk on.

Lexi had a sad experience with the kids camp 0n the first day so she hung out with us all of the time. We were watching Ashley go down the slide.

Brian in our stateroom. He loved all the food that was on the ship. I could not believe how much he ate.

Day 2 Encinada Mexico

The second day of the trip was Encinada Mexico. I had alot of anxiety about getting off the boat with the kids in Mexico. I was stressed the whole time we were there. I kept counting the kids and probably counted them at least 100 times. When we got back on the boat the kids begged to go swimming. It was freezing cold and you can see one of the parents in the background of this picture with a towell wrapped around them. I can proudly say I got in with them.

Here is Brian in his stroller. He was an angel the whole time in Mexico. He even fell asleep in the stroller. Megan and Ashley had a blast shopping and found lots of wonderful jewelry. I think they each spent all of there money here.

Our Family Cruise day 1 Catalina Island

This is our family in Catalina Island. It was pretty chilly but the kids loved playing on the beach. Megan and Grandma Bang had a blast shopping, while the rest of us went back to the boat to change out of the wet clothes.
Kerry posing for the cameraMegan Standing by the pier. She loved the shopping part of the trip.

Madison being very careful not to get to wet. Then she found us on the other side of the pier soaked and joined in on the fun.

latest projects

i was going to make our family a family home evening board, then i thought i would try to come up with something a little different than the normal board with hanging tags, and this is what i came up with, the family night liahona, it has turned out pretty good, thought id post a few pictures, the names are around the outside and on the star in the middle it has "lesson, treat, activity, etc" and the star can be turned to show whos turn it is for which activity
i had a few people want to buy them so i put them on our website at http://store02.prostores.com/servlet/bangfabrication/StoreFront
also a little sword wall decoration to hang on the wall

Alexis and Maddie even funnier

This is Janae now. I went into my closet today and the girls had hooked some stretch cords onto Lexis underwear. I didnt think much of it until I went back in a few minutes later. Lexi had climbed to the top of our closet with the cords hanging down into maddies hands. Maddie was belaying her. I just had to laugh. I never thought my kids would be trying to rock climb in our closet. Its a good thing she didnt fall because the cords would have never helped her. Unfortunatly I only got a picture with my phone and dont know how to post it on here.
ok here it is

another Lexi funny

a couple days ago i was in our bathroom doing something and lexi went in by our toilet, then i heard what i thought was "dad i want to see what you do" i told her i wasn't doing any thing, then as i was walking past where the toilet was i saw her standing in front of it, facing it, with her shorts down and she was holding her shirt up, then it clicked in my brain that what she said was "dad i want to pee like you do"!

Sleepover

This is also another old post that should of been done a while ago. We had a few of the cousins over for a sleepover when the Warners came to town. They loved it. We had Hallie and Emma stay over. Maddie read them a book of nursery rhymes and they had puff pancakes for breakfast.
Here is little Brian totally unaware of the invasion of little girls at our house. He is used to girls, it was no biggy to him.

These are all the girls reading the stories in the girls room. You can tell they are having alot of fun. I finally had to lay by all of them to get them to go to sleep. Hallie had a moment were she wanted to go home but we quickly talked them into staying. They got to go down and visit Megan who was having a late night movie with her friend downstairs. We love our cousins, and sleepovers

Maddies preschool Graduation

I know that this should have been posted clear back in May. May 19 to be exact but I should be greatful that it is being posted.

MADISONS GRADUATION

Here is cute little Maddison with her wonderful Mrs. Campbell. She loved going to her preschool.

Here is Maddie being the lead in the play that they did. She was an impromptu because the girl that was going to do it became to shy. So my un shy child ( imagine me having a child that is not shy) volunteered and she did an amazing job.

Here is Madison with her car pool friends Janzen, Gentry Peterson Hallie Larsen and Mrs.Shelly. We loved driving them.
Mom Dad, Lexi and Brian all showed up to Cheer Maddie on and then we went to Wendys afterward for treats. Now she is on to Kindergarten
